And it is that from Blue Byte and Related Designs, developers of Anno 2070, have announced that they will direct part of their efforts so that the online sections do not disappear. “After some initial research, we have decided to dedicate some of our development resources to working on upgrading the old infrastructure of the online services of Year 2070 to a new system”, they explain from the team.
The goal is to continue to be able to use all online features after the closure on September 1. Of course, the workers have assured that “we still cannot guarantee that we will be able to successfully upgrade/replace old services as we would like“.
Until the indicated date we will be able to continue playing without any type of restriction. Released in 2011, Year 2070 takes us to an Earth that is no longer the same due to climate change. Now new challenges appear before us, so we will have to colonize islands, create cities that extend as far as the eye can see and take advantage of futuristic technology.
