Announced at the special event for the 20th anniversary of the saga with Kingdom Hearts 4, Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is a new game of the saga for mobile devices Android and iOS. At the moment it does not have a specific date about its launch, but Tetsuya Nomura, creator of the saga, has confirmed that it will have a closed beta later this year.

In this interview with Famitsu (via GameRant) Nomura states that Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is scheduled to have a closed beta in fall 2022, although it does not confirm whether or not it will be exclusive to the Japanese market. Beyond that, Nomura commented on some details of the character creation and customization of the game, and dropped the possibility that he could also have some kind of Pokémon GO-style geolocation and augmented reality mechanics. Although the latter is yet to be confirmed.

Nomura explains that there will be more specific news about this Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link for mobile devices soon. Undoubtedly, one of the details that most attracts the attention of fans about all these spin-offs of the series that have been coming out over the years, is whether or not they contribute more stories to the lore of the saga.
