Rex is an amazing creative force and we have an amazing team of artists, animators, sound designers, programmers and testers all pouring their souls in this game and it’s beautiful to watch, play and listen to.”
Gilbert defends in this way the work done by Rex Crowle, art director and ensures that “Return to Monkey Island may not be the art style you wanted or expected, but it’s the art style i wanted“. When the idea of bringing back the series began to take shape, the possibility of using pixel art as an artistic base was considered, “but it did not feel right.
